These are four factors which the WHO identifies as characterising the condition:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>feelings of energy depletion or exhaustion<\/li><li>increased mental distance from one\u2019s job<\/li><li>feelings of negativism or cynicism related to one\u2019s job<\/li><li>reduced professional efficacy.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This new recognition does not officially take effect until January 2022, when the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/icd.who.int\/browse11\/l-m\/en\" target=\"_blank\">International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD-11)\u00a0<\/a> replaces the previous version ICD-10.
